Ashley's Day of Photography Experience

I attended a photo session with Dawn for the Alpha Phi Sorority at Elmhurst College. Overall it was a great experience. Dawn was wonderful and very detailed. The Picture Chairman was organized for the day, and she was available through the entire shoot. And the girls were very nice to work with.
For the shoot itself, I arrived about an hour and a half early for set-up. Dawn taught me how to set up the equipment, and now, I realize how heavy the equipment is to carry and how long it takes to set-up. Afterward, the girls started to arrive. Since this was a relatively large group, I was moderately busy during the entire day. I can easily see how the photographer would get stressed over having limited time to hand out Day of Photography orders, help with drapes, and keep track of the computers, but Dawn was very patient and kind with every girl.
The Picture Chairman helped each girl sign in, and she showed them how to use the computer. I helped with drapes to make sure everyone was ready to have their pictures taken. I noticed that the girls were very enthusiastic abut picking their poses. The process was very simple for every girl to sign-in, get a drape, get photographed, and then choose their pose.
At the end of a long and busy day, Dawn and I tore down the equipment, and our day was finished. It was a great photo shoot overall and a great experience.
