Picture Chairman
When will we be notified of our photography date(s)?
Approximately one month prior to your scheduled date.
How do we stay in contact after elections are held?
Please let us know when a new picture chair is elected
to guarantee that your preferred dates are requested.
How will I receive information about the photography session?
We will email you about your scheduled photography
date. Although email will be our first choice of
communication, we will contact you by mail if we don't
hear from you within a short time. Please add us to your
list of pre-approved senders; spam blockers on many
email accounts may prevent you from receiving our
emails. After your session is confirmed, a packet of
information and forms will be mailed to you. Replacement
blank forms are available on our website.
Who determines the photography location?
You do. Please be sure the space you select is at least 15' x 20' and is
available one and a half hours prior to your first appointment and at least one
hour after your last appointment. Tables are required for
both the Pose Selection and
Data Entry Stations.
Where should I meet the photographer
and how will I recognize him?
Your photographer will contact you by phone one to
two days prior to your scheduled date. Arrange to meet
the photographer at your location. Make sure to meet the
photographer on and a half hours prior to your first
scheduled appointment. The photographer will be dressed
in a black polo shirt, khaki pants, and will have a
photo ID tag around his neck.
Will the photographer know where to park?
Your photographer will be carrying very heavy equipment,
and a lot of it. Many trips may be required to bring in
all of the necessary equipment. Remember, the
photographer is bringing our studio to you. Please make
arrangements for our photographer to park as close as
possible to your photography location.
Who is responsible for choosing the composite styles and colors?
You are. Making decisions prior to the day of photography allows
Digital Pix to produce and deliver your composites
within our 30 day delivery guarantee. Please visit our online Composite
Builder to explore your many options or
contact our graphic arts department for design consultation.
When are the sitting fees due?
On the day of photography. At the end of your session, our photographer will
provide you with an invoice which calculates your fees based on the actual
number of people photographed. Sorry, no cash
is accepted.
What if fewer people are photographed than originally estimated?
You may need to arrange with Digital Pix to have
Last Year Images (LYI) used for members of your
organization that were unable to attend your photography
session. Or, you may need to discover alternate
locations for photography to assure that all members are
included on your composite. For professional
organizations, the per member price may be affected. If
there is any doubt that the attendance on your day of
photography may fall below the estimated number of
participants, please contact us.
Are the picture chairman and faculty members required to pay sitting fees?
YES. Every person appearing on your composite will be billed an individual
sitting fee.
When should we expect delivery of our master composite and
individual copies?
Digital Pix guarantees delivery of your composite within 30
business days from the last day of photography. Generally, after
you approve your composite proof, your composites will arrive in
1-2 weeks.

Attire
- Greek
What should we wear?
You make the clothing decision. The most attractive classic composites are
those where everyone is dressed in their own clothing. Long sleeves and solid
colors are most flattering. Please avoid wearing checkered or small prints
due to distortion. Digital Pix provides velvet
drapes in a variety of colors. If your group elects to wear a
drape, tube tops are recommended for the day of photography to
make the attire change easy.
Is there attire that we cannot wear for the composite?
There may
be restrictions on your attire made by your school or by your National
headquarters. Please check with your picture
chairman prior to
your photography date.
Does Digital Pix provide attire for
our members?
The
photographer has a wide selection of drapes
available. The selections are russet, dark pink, moss
green, cornflower blue, red and black. Confirm with your
photographer that your chosen color will be available on
the day of photography. We suggest your members wear
tube tops underneath the drapes for comfort.
Digital Pix does not supply coats or ties for
fraternities.
Will the photographer have
pearls available for our photography?
YES. We have a few strings of pearls
that you can use on the day of photography.
However, you
may want to provide your own.
If we are going to be photographed wearing the same blouse or sweater for the
composite, how many of each do we need to have available?
At least three must be available so that you
adhere to the time schedule.

Attire
- Non-Greek
What should we
wear?
You make the clothing decision. Please be sure to check with your school for any clothing restrictions.
Digital Pix does not supply clothing, so make sure to arrange
for any rental or purchase of uniforms ahead of time. Options
include scrubs, graduation gowns, traditional white uniforms,
street clothes, and drapes (please ask about our color
selection).
Can students be photographed wearing a nursing cap
for portraits, even if we are not wearing caps
on the composite?
YES. You will have the opportunity to view and order portraits from
other poses.
Will the photographer have graduation gowns available?
NO. You must have at least three available on the day of photography and know
the proper way they are to be worn.
Time schedules must be adhered to as a courtesy to
everyone in your group.
Where should my pin be worn?
Pins should worn on a designated side slightly higher than a name tag.
They must be
visible in a head and shoulders photograph. DPC does not supply nursing pins as
they are organization specific. If the pin is
required, make sure that your hair or collar are not
covering the pin in the photograph.

Individual Portraits
Will I be able to purchase individual portraits?
YES. Non-Greek students will have the opportunity to order portraits
on the day of photography and will receive a proof and order
form that can be used for additional orders. Greek students will receive a package of
retouched, pre-printed portraits, which will be
available for purchase.
Am I obligated to purchase any portraits?
NO. You have absolutely no obligation to purchase any of the portraits you
receive for viewing. Most students opt to purchase as
this is their only memorial of this important time in their
lives.
Where will portraits be sent?
They will be sent to your home address as you entered it into the computer
on the day of photography.
How do I return any portraits I do not want to purchase?
A postage prepaid envelope is included. Place any
unwanted portraits along with payment and the order form in
the envelope and place it in the mail.
What if I need more time to decide on a purchase?
You may contact us to arrange for more time.
Please have your account number from the order form handy
when calling or emailing to expedite your service.
How do I order portraits of a different pose?
Please call our office for more information.
Can I purchase additional retouching?
YES. Additional retouching may be purchased for a fee.
See our pricing chart.
Will tan lines or sunburn be retouched?
NO. Tan lines and sunburn are not removed with
complimentary retouching. You may purchase additional
retouching.
